This one-day course is designed to teach operators the various types of watermain breaks and the methods of leak detection. The participants will develop a plan: for the detection, public notification, isolation, safe excavation, watermain repair, disinfection, flushing, pressure testing, bacteriological sampling, documenting and returning the watermain to service. The latest disinfection methods as to how they pertain to watermain breaks will also be covered.
