Chemical Safety and WHMIS Refresher

This half day course updates the knowledge and skills of water and wastewater operators who deal with hazardous substances in the workplace.

Topics include: Hazardous materials management, Health and Safety and WHMIS. Upon successful completion of this course the participant will:

Recognize the hazards associated with chemicals used in the water and wastewater fields.
Have a basic understanding of the safe handling of those chemicals and the use of personal protective equipment.
Understand the requirements of provincial and federal legislation regarding the use of chemicals in the workplace.
