Laboratory Skills for Water Treatment Operators

(Course Code: TSD210)

This two-day course will introduce drinking water treatment operators to the analytical tests and procedures common to most water treatment processes. Included in this course is a one-day classroom/practical exercise in jar testing for the determination of chemical dosing for conventional and direct filtration water treatment processes. This course includes: laboratory equipment identification and use, laboratory safety, the physical, chemical, and microbiological testing procedures and interpretation of results to Ontario Regulation 170/03 and 169/03.
