This two-day course prepares participants to write the Wastewater collection Operator in Training Licensing exam administered by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. Students will learn the following: introduction to wastewater collection, legislation, SDWA, OWRA, Environmental Protection Act, Clean Water Act, workplace safety, confined space, electricity, basic and applied science, equipment basics - piping, valves, pumps, basic and applied math, wastewater collection systems - lift/pumping stations, types of sewers, cleanouts, trunk sewers, inflow CCTV Inspection and cleaning methods.
